Making your own Chufa BREAD
500-525g Chufa flour
450g Corn flour
25g Olive oil
12.5g Dry yeast
10g Fresh yeast
Preheat the oven 180C
Mix all the ingredients and knead the dough for 5 min.
Allow the dough to rest for 35 min.
Put the dough in the bread tin
Bake for 30 minutes until golden
Making Horchata at home is easy-peasy.
Follow these simple steps and you will be enjoying a delicious and nutritious drink in no time!
Soak 250g of chufa in tap water overnight (or for at least 6hr). You can keep the bowl in the refrigerator if it’s very warm in your kitchen. Otherwise you can just leave it out.
Drain the tigernuts and add 1ltr of water to your blender.
Add sugar/honey … as much as you would like. We recommend using about 4 spoons of sugar or try sugar-free horchata.
Once blended you will need to filter it. We recommend using the Chufa Mix.
Chill the horchata and enjoy!
Consume within 4 days of making it.
